Entering Asia in 1930 and regionally headquartered in Shanghai, The Sherwin-Williams Company today runs businesses in most of the Asian countries, employing around 3,500 employees and operating 10 production sites across the region.

Global Supply Chain, Blending Facilities & Valued Distributors

Global Supply Chain (GSC) manufactures and distributes all of our branded and private-label products. They manage raw materials procurement, the development and manufacturing of products and the distribution of those products to our stores and customer facilities around the world. Their mission is to maintain one integrated Global Supply Chain supporting sales for all customers. Their strategy is to create value through end-to-end Global Supply Chain execution and Continuous Improvement. GSC Asia centrally manages all the production sites across the region.

This integrated manufacturing and distribution capability benefits our global customers in a number of ways. First, the connection between local manufacturing in Asia and our research and development teams not only in Asia but around the world means that we maintain a consistent quality, durability and appearance of our coatings regardless of their point of manufacture. At the same time, our local sites ensure a close level of collaboration with our customers at their locations to verify that color, application and other characteristics of the coating are meeting or exceeding specification. Lastly, our network of company-owned blending facilities and our growing list of trusted distributors helps our customers maintain inventory and on-time delivery.
